The act of volunteering can be used as a tool to develop and broaden a person’s understanding of multiculturalism, diversity, and social justice; as well as, create opportunities to build relationships, and establish a community network.  The goal of working with diverse populations and integrating multiculturalism into volunteering is to help students improve their social, intellectual, and interpersonal skills while developing a stronger understanding of the cultural impact of privilege, underrepresented identities, and the intersectionality of identities. Click here to learn more.
